15 tons of bravas and 30,000 thousand people eating Barcelona’s most iconic dish. That could be a good summary of the Mahou Bravas Fest, the first festival dedicated to patatas bravas in Barcelonaand which has been paying tribute to the most requested tapa in Catalan bars for two editions.
Now, after the success of those first two editions, this fall the festival goes a step further, growing and spreading throughout the country to be held in three cities: Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia.
When will the Mahou Bravas Fest be held in Barcelona (in Valencia and Madrid)?
Organized by Bravas Barcelona(account of influencer Edu Gonzalez with over 400 thousand followers on Instagram) and event producer Pleisure, their intentionis to triple their numbers and end up feeding bravas to some 90.000 people between the three cities.
The festivalwill arrive in Barcelona from October 4 to 6 at Poble Espanyol, where it is already a tradition once a year to find the best bravas in the city together in a single space.
FromOctober 18 to 20, Mahou Bravas Fest moves toViveros Garden in Valenciaand will finally end its tourfrom October 25 to 27at the Museo del Ferrocarril in Madrid.
As in previous editions, each festival will host emblematic restaurants in each city, which will prepare their version of patatas bravas, paired with a different Mahou beer. The participants will also offer a star tapa from their locale, which will not go to the contest, but will complete the experience of the visitors. .
In addition, the gastronomic experience of the festival will be complemented with live music, DJs and raffles such as the one proposed by Pasaporte Bravas, cwhereby attendees will have the chance to win their weight in Mahou 5 Estrellas beer if they get the stamps of all the restaurants. In addition, there will be tastings and workshops by Mahou experts. .

The entrance to the festival will be freeuntil full capacity is reached and, as a novelty this year, there will also be the possibility of buying tickets with an advance menu and priority access.
Prize for the best bravas of each city
As in its first two editions, when the best bravas of Barcelona were chosen, during the festival the public will be able to vote, from among all those bravas they have tasted, their favorite. On the other hand, a jurymade up of top professionals from the gastronomic sectorwill also evaluate the bravas and vote for their favorites.
The festival will culminate with the selection of the best bravas from Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia respectively, and two prizes will be awarded in each case: one awarded by the vote of the attendees and one by the vote of the expert jury.
