More than 30,000 people, 15 tons of potatoes and liters of beer. This could be the summary of the last editions of the Mahou Bravas Fest, the first festival dedicated to patatas bravas that takes place in Barcelona and that this year reaches its fourth edition. An event already consolidated in the gastronomic calendar of the city, which returns in autumn to pay tribute to the most iconic dish of the Catalan bars.
From October 3 to 5, 2025, Poble Espanyol will once again become the great temple of bravas. For three days, some of Barcelona’s most emblematic restaurants and bars will gather, both veterans and new participants, who will compete to win the award for the Best Bravas of the city.
Who participates this year

In this edition, 14 restaurants will present their most creative and tasty versions of bravas. Among them, festival regulars such as Bar Tomàs, Xinvic, Rooster&Bubbles, Acero, Senyor Vermut, La Esquinica or Bar Córdoba, along with newcomers such as 5 Hermanos Casa de Comidas, Món Việt, Casa Rafuel, Jenkin’s, BPM, La Mafia Mexicana and La Tabarra.
Each proposal will be paired with a different Mahou beer, reinforcing the link between gastronomy and beer culture. In addition, each restaurant will offer a star tapa outside of the competition, further enhancing the experience for visitors.
As in previous years, the festival will culminate with the election of the best bravas in Barcelona. There will be two awards: one awarded by the popular vote of the attending public and the other decided by a professional jury made up of experts from the gastronomic sector.
Much more than bravas: music, workshops and raffles

The Mahou Bravas Fest goes beyond the star tapa. Attendees will be able to enjoy live music, DJs, tastings and workshops guided by Mahou’s expert brewers. There will also be the popular Bravas Passport, a game that rewards those who manage to seal all the stops along the route with a special gift.
This 2025, as a novelty, there will be live showcookings by Rooster&Bubbles and Xinvic, who will reveal their secrets to prepare step by step their versions of bravas.
Admission will be free until full capacity is reached by downloading the official website, although the braver ones will be able to opt for a Fast Pass, with preferential access and tastings included.
The event is organized by Bravas Barcelona, the platform of foodie influencer Edu González, who has more than 460,000 followers on Instagram, together with event producer Pleisure. The festival has the main sponsorship of Mahou, which provides its range of beers for the pairings, and collaborating brands such as La Española -which will offer tastings of classic olives and olives with jalapeños- or Lost Vines, a wine project born in the Penedès.
