There are few plans more rounded than this in Barcelona if you stay this summer: a dive with panoramic views, bravas in the sun, a chilled tinto de verano, while you soak up the Barcelona skyline. All this is possible in one of the most exclusive municipal swimming pools of the city, inherited from 1992.
We are talking about the Olympic swimming pool of Montjuïc, a classic of Barcelona’s summer to combine gastronomy and Olympic history of the city.
Where is the Montjuïc Olympic swimming pool?

Located at the top of the mountain, this public facility has two outdoor pools, one of which has diving boards from which the 1992 Olympic Games were competed in.
From June through September, the pools are open to the general public, with admission at €7.73 (and reduced rates of €5.35 for children and senior citizens). It is the price of a full day and from up here you will see such recognizable points of the city as the Sagrada Familia, Tibidabo and the Mediterranean Sea in the background.
Please note that the jumping platform is only for federations and professional entities dedicated to this sport.
Salts, the bar of the Montjuïc swimming pool.

The best thing is that after having climbed up to Montjuïc to take a dip, you can stay for some good tapas. Because if there is something that elevates (even more) the experience is the Salts Terrassa Bar Montjuïc, the bar located right in the stands of jumps, where you can order a plate of nachos, hummus or patatas bravas, among other good quality tapas.
The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, ideal for relaxing after a dip. You can order at the bar, sit at the tables on the terrace or even in the stands.

The opening hours of Salts Terrassa Bar Montjuïc are Monday to Thursday from 11 am to 9 pm, Friday from 11 am to 10 pm, Saturday from 10:30 am to 10 pm and Sunday from 10:30 am to 9 pm.
On weekends, from Friday evening onwards, there are usually live music cycles.
