As every year, the Sagrada Família is preparing to join the festa major de La Mercè 2024 with the celebration of its traditional Open Days as part of the festivities of La Mercè, which will show the people of Barcelona the current state of the works and offer the opportunity to visit the Basilica.
This year, the temple extends the days to four days, and draws 20,000 free tickets to access the basilica on September 21, 22, 23 and 24.
Visitors will take a tour of the Basilica and, on this occasion, will discover how work is being done to complete the tower of Jesus Christ, which will be the tallest of the set of central towers. For the first time, a fragment of the prototype of the cross that will crown the tower (specifically, half of one arm of the cross) will be on display in the materials courtyard.
To register for the raffle, those interested may do so from September 9 at 10 a.m. until September 16 at 10 a.m. through a form available on the website (sagradafamilia .org) and on social networks.
