Barcelona is getting ready for a memorable closing of the Mercè 2025 festivities. The Mercè 2025 pyromusical will have a rumba and rock accent, as the Catalan duo Estopa will be in charge of selecting the soundtrack that will accompany the fireworks.
Brothers David and José Manuel Muñoz have prepared a repertoire that will pay tribute to their influences with songs by Los Chichos and Extremoduro, as well as including their own hits and a surprise: the premiere of a new song in collaboration with The Tyets.
But, the big novelty this year will not only be musical. The pyromusical will serve as one of the acts of reopening of the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc, which will resume its choreography of water, light and sound just for the festival, after a long period of rehabilitation works.
In fact, the show on the 28th will be the first to show off the 100% renovated fountain, with more sustainable technology thanks to LED lights. The fountain will return to its usual programming on October 2.
As is tradition, this grand finale of the Mercè Festival will take place on Sunday, September 28, from 10:00 pm to 10:30 pm, on Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina, in front of the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC).
