Can you imagine an entire neighborhood, one of those with brick buildings and industrial air, transformed into a giant hotbed of fashion, music and food trucks? Well, stop imagining, because that’s exactly what happens in Igualada, an hour away from Barcelona, when Rec.0 arrives.
And we have good news: Europe’s largest pop-up store festival is back. Make a note of the dates: from November 5 to 8, Igualada’s historic Rec district will be turned upside down (in the best sense of the word) to celebrate fashion, culture and gastronomy.
The Catalan ‘Soho’ for four days.

If you’ve never been, the concept is genius. Rec.0 is neither a shopping mall nor an outlet. The organization “squats” (with permission, of course) the old tanneries and industrial spaces that make up the neighborhood. For a few days, these warehouses that smell of history become the most coveted ephemeral stores.
This year, the circuit even expands, opening for the first time an old leather warehouse and a tannery on the Sant Antoni crossing. It is the perfect opportunity to hunt for bargains and, incidentally, flip over an industrial heritage that takes the hiccups away.
More than 100 brands (and lots of bargains).

What can you buy at Rec.0? Everything. We are talking about more than 100 fashion brands that liquidate their stocks at reduced prices. You have from the giants we all know(Adidas, Nike, Levi’s, Puma, Converse, Munich) to consolidated Catalan gems like Sita Murt, BUFF®, Mus&Bombon, Antonio Miró or Castañer.
But the fun of Rec.0 is also discovering new things. This May sees the debut of brands such as Lebor Gabala, Loreak Mendian, Edmond Studios and Compañía Fantástica. And watch out, it’s not just clothes: there are quality footwear (Chie Mihara, Pons Quintana, United Nude), underwear (Punto Blanco), sunglasses (Kaleos) and even accessories for pets. You’ll leave there with your summer closet sorted.
In addition, if you are one of those who look at the label, the Rec Imperdible is your area: a space dedicated to sustainable and proximity brands such as Top Manta or Cusart. You will also find the second-hand store Rec2amà and even a clothing exchange market. Circularity to the power.
Music, food and children’s space
To make the experience round, the organization has prepared more than 30 free cultural activities. There will be concerts (attention, Joan Colomo and DJ Miqui Puig will be playing!), dance, magic, poetry and even a participatory mural.
There are also options if you go with the family, such as the Espai Petit Rec, dedicated to children’s fashion (with brands like Liewood or 1+ in the family) and creative workshops for the kids to entertain themselves.
And, of course, with so much activity, you get hungry. And thirsty. Don’t panic: 41 gastronomic points and food trucks will be scattered throughout the circuit. You will find Catalan, Lebanese, Thai cuisine, vegan and gluten-free options… Among the novelties, King Kebab sandwiches, Àtom Coffee coffees and (hold on) Rocambolesc ice creams.
