If something good brought us the pandemic was the “Superilla Sant Jordi”, a large pedestrian space in the heart of Barcelona, where dozens of book and flower stalls are concentrated on April 23.
And although it started only in Passeig de Gràcia, the proposal has been growing. Now, from Jardinets de Gràcia to Plaça Catalunya, and along its parallel streets, Balmes and Rambla Catalunya, and since last year also along Las Ramblas, a promenade that, although it is one of the most emblematic places of Sant Jordi in Barcelona, since 2019 that did not have stops because of the restrictions due to the pandemic.
In the direction of Gràcia, by Gran de Gràcia, it will also be pedestrian, there will also be stops from pla de Nicolás Salmerón to Asturias street.
Thus, the literary superilla will once again occupy the center of Barcelona with 3 kilometers of books and roses, a great pedestrian axis along the entire Passeig de Gracia and its surroundings, Balmes, Pau Claris, Gran Via and Avenida Diagonal, as it passes through Paseo de Gracia, as well as La Rambla, which will be filled with authors signing books and bookstores selling them.
Now, if you want to go directly to the bookstores, we leave you here a good list of bookstores in Barcelona so you can go directly to rummage through the shelves.
