Malmö 040: The Triumph of Being a Band
In an era where solo artists dominate the charts, Malmö 040 is a breath of fresh air. The story of Carlos, Víctor, Nacho, Joanet, and Gonzalo began eight years ago with their self-titled debut EP, when they were just a group of friends making music for the sheer pleasure of playing together.
Since then, they’ve passed the always-difficult test of the second release with *Último Asalto* (2021), followed by much more mature albums such as *Los cobardes viven siempre* (2023) and *Cuando éramos felices sin saberlo* (2025), where nostalgia and the loss of innocence shine through. After selling out legendary venues across the country (Razzmatazz and La Riviera are just a few of them), the leap to larger venues is the natural next step.
Malmö 040’s new EP: Well, it’s finally here
To get things going before taking the stage at the Sant Jordi Club (and the Movistar Arena in Madrid next February), the band has just released a new EP named after a phrase that perfectly sums up their current attitude: “Well, that’s it.”
This release shows us a Malmö 040 that views life with much less pressure and more perspective. The EP consists of six tracks, three of which were unreleased until last October: joining the already familiar “Godzilla,” “No es tan importante,” and “Por ti y por mí” are the new tracks “Entre la duda y el desastre,” “Después de ti,” and “Ignorantes.”
