The America’s Cup Sailing 2024, one of the most prestigious sailing events in the world, is about to begin. The cup, to be held in Barcelona between August and October 2024, will turn the city into the world center of the sport for a couple of months, after some teams have already been preparing for it for a couple of years.
So, now that the event is approaching, we wanted to know the price of tickets to the America’s Cup Sailing, where to get them and from which locations you can watch the races.
Basic ticket for 500€ per day
Assorted packages to access the event are purchased at the same website of the competition. Although, at the outset, it may be somewhat difficult to locate between the different types of competition event, in essence, the different types of ticket and service packages are worth from €500 per day.
This is for the preliminaries(August 22-25), but, for example, the price to follow the Puig Women’s America’s Cup races (October 5-13) and jóvenes (September 17 to 26) are €550 per day.
The entrance fee includes access between 12:30 and 19:0 0 hours, non-stop gastronomic service and expert commentary to learn more about the races. In addition, at the end of the races there will be the possibility to greet some of the protagonists of the competition.

The teams have also prepared visitor welcome programs at their bases, often aimed directly at fans from their respective countries and thus often accompanied by tourist activities.
For example, the Orient Express Racing Team offers visits to the Penedès vineyards and wine tastings, along with race observation. For its part, the American Magic team adds the possibility to have lunch with the team and ride on its hydrogen-powered escort boat, among other experiences. Of course, starting at 750€ and up to 5,000€ per person per day. To purchase them you must contact the teams.
Watch the races from the sea
The America’s Cup also gives the option to follow the races from the sea with two official providers: Las Golondrinas and Sail &Charter.

Las Golondrinas, the historic boats of the Port of Barcelona, will have a reserved space to follow the competition on the water. Tickets can be purchased at a portal created especially for the occasion and range from 176 euros for the preliminaries, semifinals and finals between teams and in the women’s and youth competitions, to 220 euros which will cost, as a minimum, to follow the Match Race from which the winning team of the competition will emerge.
For its part, Sail Charter offers the rental of yachts of different sizes and prices. The cheapest one costs 275€ per person in a boat with capacity for 100 passengers.
