Back-to-school season is just around the corner. It’s here for all students in Barcelona, but also for those in one of the most famous fictional cinematic worlds in history: the Harry Potter™ universe. September 1 marks the classic “Back to Hogwarts”—the date when Harry, Hermione, Ron, and their friends first entered Hogwarts (and would continue to do so for the next six years until they became expert wizards). To celebrate this occasion, Barcelona will host a drone show in a few weeks that pays tribute to this moment as well as other key scenes from the film series.
The event is called the DroneArt Show: Harry Potter™ and will take place on October 23 and 24 at the Parc del Fòrum. You can buy tickets through Fever; here’s the website for more information.

What is the DroneArt Show: Harry Potter™?
DroneArt Show: Harry Potter™ is an event that combines technology with music. It does so through a show in which 1,200 drones (divided into two fleets of 600) form figures that are instantly recognizable to all fans of the movies. Since there are two fleets, there’s always something happening in the sky: while one “works,” the other recharges, and so on.
The result is stunning and thrilling, with drones recreating iconic moments from the movies, such as a Quidditch™ match, the encounter with Dobby, and Harry’s incredible battle against Lord Voldemort. Of course, the Harry Potter movies wouldn’t be the same without their spectacular soundtrack, which accompanies the entire show along with snippets of dialogue (yes, the ones you know by heart if you’re a die-hard fan of the movies).
In addition, spectators will participate in the show with LED wristbands they’ll receive upon arrival at the venue, which will light up at key moments.
On both days of the event, October 23 and 24, the Parc del Fòrum will open its doors at 8:00 p.m. so you can purchase merchandise from the series and enjoy food and drinks from the food trucks set up on the grounds (which will include burgers, hot dogs, Asian cuisine, vegetarian dishes, and other specialties).
The show will begin promptly at 9:00 p.m. and will last one hour, with a brief intermission.
