There are winning rice dishes and rice dishes that make you win contests. And few contests in summer as the best rice in Barcelona to draw attention and direct our steps to those who want a good paella in the sun.
That’s why this time we look at the Joc de Cartes of TV3, where Marc Ribas has chosen between three rice restaurants, Maysi, Barraca and Versátil, the one that makes the best rice dishes in the city.
A grilled octopus rice, the winner.

The winner of this edition was Barraca, a restaurant in the heart of Barceloneta that won the award for the best rice restaurant thanks, among others, to its privileged location, with incredible views over the promenade and the sea of Barcelona.
Located on the beachfront, Barraca offers large windows, a terrace overlooking the promenade and a Mediterranean interior design that connects directly with the environment.
The restaurant won in all aspects, with an average score of 9 thanks, in large part, to its rice dishes: from the black rice with squid and aioli to original combinations such as sea bass with razor clams or veal with marrow. But the definitive winner was the rice with grilled octopus, which won over Marc Ribas to point it out as the “star dish” and tipped the scales to give the victory to Barraca.
