Sónar and Casa Batlló, two of the most important cultural institutions in Barcelona, join forces to present THE CUBE, a space designed to offer innovative experiences combining music and visual art by internationally renowned artists.
The space, a sort of immersive concert, will be installed in the basement of Casa Batlló from May 24 to July 31, turning Gaudí’s building into another hall of the festival.
THE CUBE opened its doors for the first time on Friday, May 24 with the world premiere of ‘Music:Response’, a 360º installation that immerses the audience in the audiovisual universe of The Chemical Brothers’ concerts, combining the greatest hits of the British duo and the iconic visual works of Smith & Lyall, who have accompanied Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands for the past three decades.
The experience is a narrative built with pixels, high-end audio and contributions from world-class artists, creators and engineers that allows the audience to be transported to the very heart of the music.
The experience lasts about 13 minutes, the ticket costs 15 euros and can be purchased at the same casa Batlló website.
