Just a few minutes from Barcelona and with the Mediterranean as a backdrop, Castelldefels becomes the epicenter of the seaside festival this weekend with the Mercado del Mar, one of the most anticipated summer events in the Baix Llobregat region. From July 10 to 12, the boardwalk (between Calle 12 and Plaza de las Palmeres) transforms into a vibrant space that blends tradition, music, crafts, and activities for all ages.
As part of the Fiestas del Mar, the market has established itself as a must-see event: a great showcase of local food and crafts, family workshops, parades, concerts, and shows with a Mediterranean flair. All of this takes place in a unique seaside setting, and admission is free.
So, you can make the most of your visit by exploring Castelldefels Castle, the Olympic Canal, or the town’s historic center—all of which are also worth a weekend getaway.
