Goodbye cinema, hello… hamburgers. Deleito, one of the most important burger chains in Barcelona has opened its new location in the former Astoria Cinema, which was closed and is now reopening with an unexpected format.
Under the slogan “Glamour is back, the good stuff is back”, Deleito opens a new space called Deleito Burger Club with the intention of mixing gastronomy and the nightlife offer of the Costa Este Group. Thus, the former cinema will be a burger-club that will be open until 3 am.
Specifically on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 pm to 2:30 am, and on Fridays and Saturdays until 3:00 am, so that you can eat a hamburger or dance the night away.
What do you eat at the hamburger club?
The culinary proposal starts with starters such as Wagyu de l’Empordà croquettes, carpaccio of matured Galician blonde, chicharrón de Cádiz or vegan proposals such as mushroom ceviche.
The main course is its eight types of premium burgers, such as the Madura Ahumada, with an intense flavor and a presentation wrapped in smoke, the Foie-Gras, which combines beef, fresh foie escalope, comté cheese and a carrot pickle mayonnaise, or the Truffle Carbonara and Egg, a creamy and aromatic delight.
Among the desserts, the Idiazabal Cheesecake, the dark chocolate coulant and the irresistible Torrijamisu. All paired with a selection of wines and cavas designed to enhance each dish.
The rebirth of the Astoria cinema
Opened in 1934 by the businessman Modesto Castañé Lloret, the Astoria cinema was one of the great cultural references of Barcelona. Although it closed its doors in 1999, its essence remains intact in this new space, which preserves iconic elements such as the stage, the box office and the big screen.
