Air China has recovered the direct connection between Barcelona and Shanghai, a route that had been suspended four years ago due to the pandemic and that allows to fly directly to China in about 13 hours. The planes will depart three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with a capacity of 311 passengers per flight, in a service specially designed for businessmen.
The flights will depart from Barcelona at 12:40 a.m. and arrive at Shanghai Pudong Airport at 06:50 a.m. the following day. The return flights will depart Shanghai at 00:45 a.m., landing in Barcelona at 08:05 a.m. the same day. The route will be operated with an Airbus A350-900, which offers wifi, entertainment systems and wider seats for greater comfort.
Flights are now available for purchase, and as usual, ticket prices vary depending on the class and how far in advance they are booked. However, flights for the next few months range around €500-600 for a round-trip ticket in economy class.
