How the technology behind DroneArt Show works

DroneArt Show has 1,000 drones, divided into two different fleets that will create the fantastic figures that illustrate the show (animals, flowers, dancers, etc.). The reason there are two fleets is purely technical: this drone model can only fly for 8 minutes before running out of battery power. So, while one fleet is “working,” the other is charging, and so on. This ensures an uninterrupted show.
This innovative technology, owned by Nova Sky Stories, has already been used to create different DroneArt Show performances around the world (in Spain alone, it has been seen in Madrid and Seville, where it is now being repeated), but that’s not all: this same drone model was one of the stars of the spectacular Grace for The World show, which in September 2025 filled St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican with music (featuring artists such as Pharrell Williams, Andrea Bocelli, Karol G, and Jennifer Hudson).
