The tremor, although mild, has been perceived by residents of towns like Cadaqués and Roses, who have shared their experiences on social networks, where comments on the tremor have multiplied. Despite the initial alarm, the authorities have confirmed that there has been no material or personal damage.
Earthquakes of this magnitude are relatively infrequent in the area, but can be felt when they occur at shallow depths and near the coast, as was the case today. According to experts, these types of earthquakes do not usually involve significant risks, although they remind the importance of following the recommendations of civil protection in case of noticing a tremor.
