Going out to Sala Apolo isn’t just about going somewhere “to have a drink and listen to music”—it’s about visiting an institution of Barcelona’s culture, both musically and socially. Many have spent almost as many hours at this club as they have at home, and that’s precisely what its new party is all about: El Dúplex.
Starting October 1, Apolo’s Room 1 will become El Dúplex every Thursday from midnight to 5:00 a.m. A new concept in which the nightclub transforms into a real home with the goal of escaping pretentiousness, “forgetting about your phone,” and recapturing the intimate atmosphere and spontaneity typical of house parties with friends.
To create an immersive experience, the venue will be decorated as if it were a real apartment: the dining room will be the central dance floor, the bathroom a photo booth, and the kitchen the main stage where the DJ will be located—and, of course, the bar. In addition, the event will feature actors and actresses who will bring different characters to life to liven up the evening and surprise the guests.
The musical style will be very different from the pure electronic music of Nitsa Club, combining reggaeton, pop, and urban music—a mix of current hits and nostalgic songs that perfectly evokes those parties with friends where everyone wants to share their music.
Tickets are now available on their website, with prices starting at 10 euros. Plus, the first 50 people to enter the venue each Thursday will receive a commemorative “house key.” A real treat, considering the state of the housing market in Barcelona.
