10 days, 22 hotels and 76 tapas, this will be the gastronomic festival Hotel Tapa Tour 2023, where twenty hotels will offer a gastronomic route with their best tapas.
Each of the hotels will offer up to four different proposals with their respective pairings. Some of them will offer classics such as croquettes, but with a signature signature, accompanied by a good beer, while others will experiment with sweeter flavors accompanied by a cocktail with a touch of Cointreau.
76 tapas to try
Under the slogan “10 years with the tapa as a flag”, Hotel Tapa Tour offers the public the opportunity to discover the cuisine of the most emblematic hotels in Barcelona in tapa format. Each hotel will have four elaborations (three savory and one sweet), so there will be 76 tapas to discover. The gastronomic proposal is completed with a selection of wines and cavas with Designation of Origin and beers to pair each tapa.
Each hotel will offer up to four pairing options: Tapa Fusion, with cavas from Guarda Superior D.O. Cava; Tapa Nacional, with red and rosé wines D.O. Ribera del Duero; Croqueta de Autor, with Estrella Damm or Free Damm beer ; and Tapa Dulce, with a St-Germain Spritz , the French elderflower liqueur.
Prices will range from 8 to 14 euros.
Tours on tourist land: the hotels offer guided tours.
In addition to the tour of hotel restaurants, attendees will be able to sign up for ‘in-house’ tours, guided experiences in unique hotels that combine gastronomy, history and architecture. These tours include tastings of the festival’s tapas and access to little-known spaces or those usually restricted to the public, such as art collections, terraces with panoramic views or areas with architectural elements of historical value.
The tours will take place in such emblematic hotels as Mandarin Oriental Barcelona, Cotton House Hotel, Claris Hotel & Spa, Hotel España, Serras Barcelona and Torre Melina Gran Melià . Dates, times and details of each proposal are available on the festival’s official website. Places are limited and requireprior reservation through the event’s website.
In addition, there are six routes designed to tour the hotels, grouped by proximity. The routes are listed in the online guide on the website or in the physical guides that are handed out in the hotels themselves.
