Let’s be honest: Christmas in Barcelona doesn’t really begin until the Tibidabo Amusement Park turns on its lights and reminds us that, yes, the city has a magic spot. Like every year, the most emblematic park dresses up for the festive season, which this 2025 runs from November 23 to January 5, 2026, ensuring that we have almost a month and a half of cookie-scented, carol-scented adrenaline. And of course, all with the best panoramic views of the Catalan capital.
This year, the Christmas experience in the mountain continues with two great protagonists: the ice rink (one of the best ice rinks in Barcelona) and its Christmas tree in the heights.
A sustainable ice rink that takes care of the planet
But if there is one attraction that really sets the pulse of Christmas in the park, it is its famous ice rink. This 2025, the Plaça dels Somnis will once again host a 200 m² synthetic ice rink, with a capacity for 40 people, which has set aside water and energy consumption to be completely sustainable. This decision is no coincidence: Tibidabo, renowned for its commitment to sustainability and certifications such as BIOSPHERE, uses this green platform to demonstrate that fun and environmental responsibility are not at odds.
And watch out, because the star of this ecological surface will not only be free skating. Every day, the rink will host a brand new dance show: ‘The Nutcracker on Ice‘, an artistic adaptation of Tchaikovsky’s iconic work that promises to be a visual feast. Although entrance to the rink is included with general park admission, those who simply want to skate for a while can do so independently with a €5 ticket, an unbeatable Christmas afternoon plan.
From Santa Claus to the dreaded Krampus
Beyond the tree and the ice, the program is loaded with new proposals to entertain young and old. Story lovers will be able to enjoy the film “Sleigh Ride” in the Dididado, the park’s 4D cinema, where Santa Claus’ frenetic work on the eve of December 24 will be revealed. The classic Marionetarium will also be transformed starting November 30, 2025, offering a new show that mixes music, snow and stars for the more sensitive.
Now, if you’re one of those who prefers the dark side of Christmas, you’ll be happy to know that the terrifying Krampus is returning. From December 21, 2025, this demonic character from Alpine legends, who punishes children who misbehave, will once again manifest himself at Hotel 666, offering a necessary dose of strong emotions for those who are already saturated with so much mellow spirit.
And, of course, there will be no shortage of solidarity days that demonstrate the park’s social commitment. On the weekend of December 14 and 15, the 10th edition of the Tibidavis will be held, with free access for the over-60s accompanied by up to two children. The solidarity tradition will culminate on December 27 with the 27th edition of the Cançó de Pau, a charity event that is already an emblem of Christmas in Barcelona.
