A party born with a simple idea: with the mask on, prejudices disappear, and everyone can be whoever they want to be. That is La Mascarada, the great masked party of Barcelona’s Halloween.
The Poble Espanyol will once again become a fantasy stage this Thursday, October 31 with the arrival of the fourth edition of Mascarada, one of the most anticipated parties of the fall in Barcelona. After the sold out last edition, the event returns to celebrate Halloween with a contemporary masked ball, lots of music and an atmosphere designed to lose -for one night- the notion of reality.
From 11 pm to 6 am, the Plaça Major del Poble Espanyol will become a giant dance floor with a selection of carefully selected music: pop, reggaeton, neo-percussion and electronica will be mixed in a night that promises to be more of a festival than a simple disco. And as tradition dictates, the dress code is clear: masks are mandatory.
A reversioned masked ball
Mascarada is defined as a modern version of the classic masked ball, designed for an audience looking for something different. Every detail of the staging -lights, scenery, sound- reinforces the sensation of entering another world.
The line-up brings together four DJs from the Barcelona and European scene, who will keep the party going all night and into the wee hours of the morning.
