
This weekend, the Moll de la Fusta is transformed into a barbecue paradise on earth. Meat & Fire, the international barbecue festival, celebrates its third edition on June 13, 14 and 15 in front of the sea in what is the great barbecue party in the city.
More than 30 grillers from around the world will light up the embers in the heart of Port Vell, with cuts and ways of cooking meat ranging from Catalonia and Argentina to Brazil, Mexico, Portugal and the United Kingdom.
What will be eaten at Meat and Fire?
Obviously, Argentinean meats, for example. But also fish from the hand of Rafa Zafra or Japanese elaborations such as those prepared by Shunka’s starred chef Hideki Matsuhisa .
Among the other outstanding names of this edition are Negro Riveros, Genevieve Taylor, Miguel Galino, Javier Sanz and Juan Sahuquillo (Cañitas Maite), Melissa Thompson and Lorena Lacava, among many others. And this year, in addition, the female presence is strong: several of the most prominent grillers of the international scene will claim the ember as a tool of culinary and cultural expression and is part of the program Catalonia World Region of Gastronomy 2025.
In addition, during the three days there will also be immersive experiences, with artisans, shepherds, livestock farmers and experts in cooking with fire who will share their trades and knowledge. All this accompanied by musical and cultural proposals to turn the weekend into a real feast for the senses.
How much is the entrance fee?
There are several packs, but tickets are priced from 10€ per day. Once inside,the festival works with meatcoins, which are equivalent to 1 euro (1 meatcoi = 1 €).
The standard drinks are 10€ for a dish and 5€ for a drink.
