Like a large luxury flea market dedicated to antiques, art and crafts. This is how we could define Mercantic, in Sant Cugat del Vallès, a “vintage village” that opens every day of the week and occupies more than 15,000 m².
This space dedicated to relics is located in the former Barnils ceramics factory, with a very characteristic industrial setting. Here you can buy vintage objects, antiques, decoration, books and unique pieces, and also enjoy its facilities as a cultural and gastronomic center during the weekends.

Between 100 and 250 merchants sell their products here, carefully selected to maintain the quality and reputation of a space where you can buy vintage furniture, original vintage objects and antique books.
In addition, some of them have a restoration service, carpentry and blacksmithing to restore furniture.
What Mercantic looks like inside

The permanent market, which is how the large sales area dedicated to antiques in the Nau Central is known, is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and admission is free.
On Sundays it is completed with the “Mercat de diumenge”, an ephemeral space where 50 more exhibitors sell their second-hand products and the entrance costs 2 euros from 11 am to 2 pm (the last hour the access is free).
The more cultural area where the restaurants, vinyl and book stores are grouped together is known as the Districte Antic. Here you will find restaurants such as Casa Ñidro, Can Gula, Taverna Catalana, Cinc and Restaurant Greta, specializing in Mediterranean, Catalan and vegan cuisine.

Its bookstore El Siglo has more than 150,000 volumes of all subjects and genres. It is open from Thursday to Sunday, from 10 am to 3 pm (Thursdays and Sundays), and from 10 am to 8 pm on Saturdays.
In the barri de les Casetes is where the textile is sold, with second-hand clothing stores, pottery, flowers and where the workshops are organized.
If you come at the beginning of the month, consider two plans: La Descarregada, a large market of books, records, second-hand clothes and curious objects, and the Vintage Fest, where individuals can sell items emptied from houses, apartments or offices by reserving a space.
