With this fixed price strategy, MGI stores have extended their presence throughout the Peninsula, including Catalonia, where they already have two stores in Viladecans and Reus. This Malaga-based chain has become a benchmark for discounting.
MGI’s business model is based on rounded prices, large purchase volumes and a varied offer of toys from the main franchises, with up to 360 products available in this category. During the Christmas and summer campaigns, MGI positions itself as an alternative to the large supermarkets.
In its stores you can find products for all areas of the home, such as small garden furniture and household appliances such as mixers or portable ceramic hobs.
Since its creation, MGI’s pricing policy has remained almost unchanged, centered on fixed rates of 10, 15 and 20 euros, with some exceptions both below (from 5 euros) and above (from 25 euros).
MGI currently has more than 80 stores in Spain, following a rapid expansion in the last two years. A report in The Objective highlights that inflation has boosted the group’s revenue growth thanks to its competitive pricing.
