The madness of these days with Bad Bunny’s concert in Barcelona (and the price of tickets to his concert) has made many try to remember when if the Puerto Rican artist had ever come to Barcelona.
The truth is that yes. Although it may seem so, because it’s been a few years since his last performance, 2025 is not the first concert that Bad Bunny will offer in Barcelona or Catalonia and, as you can imagine, he did it with conditions (and prices) very different from those that now have led him to fill the Olympic Stadium and even charge 500 € for a VIP ticket to his concert.
Bad Bunny’s first concerts in Barcelona: €35 a ticket
As we said, this year’s concert is not the first that Bad Bunny will offer in Barcelona. There is a first recent precedent. In July 2019, the Sónar in Barcelona lived a historic moment: Bad Bunny, who was not yet the media monster he is now, headed for the first time the lineup of this festival of electronic music and digital arts.
That year, Barcelona’s festival-goers watched as Bad Bunny transformed the Sónar Club into a party, performing tracks such as Callaíta, Ni bien ni mal or Amorfoda, setting a precedent at a festival that has since brought other urban or Latin music stars such as Nathy Peluso or C.Tangana. That year, tickets to the festival cost 79€ for the Sónar de Día, a price that, although not negligible, is lower than the cheapest ticket for the concert at the Estado Olímpic.
But this was not the artist’s first concert in Barcelona. A year earlier, in 2018, Bad Bunny had performed at the Reggaeton Beach Festival, held at the Parc del Fòrum, where artists such as Daddy Yankee and Karol G gathered, for a ticket that hovered around 35 to 50 euros, depending on the date of purchase. So imagine having seen Bad Bunny, in a small festival and quietly with the sea in the background.
The most unthinkable Bad Bunny concert in Catalonia: a village disco with tickets at 25 euros.
Can you imagine seeing Bad Bunny at three meters and with a drink in his hand? This is what those attending the Biloba nightclub in Lleida, a medium-sized nightclub where Bad Bunny performed in 2017 and 2018 when he still did not even have an album published.
That day the tickets for Bad’s concert cost 25€, a price that today sounds like a joke, and that gives an idea of how much the artist has grown in less than a decade.
