Attendees of yesterday’s (Thursday) session of Primavera Sound 2026, whose lineup had to be partially canceled due to heavy rains in Barcelona, will be able to request a refund, according to a statement released by the festival.
These cancellations affected that day’s headliners (Massive Attack, Doja Cat, and Bad Gyal), who were scheduled to perform at night and in the early morning on the main stages (Estrella Damm and Revolut), as well as other artists who had already had to cancel their afternoon shows, such as Alex G and Mac de Marco.
This did not affect the other artists on other stages, such as Oklou and Father John Misty (CUPRA), Agriculture ( Port), and Skullcrusher ( Schwarzkopf), who were able to perform their shows despite the day’s harsh weather conditions.
How can I get a refund for my tickets for Thursday at Primavera Sound 2026?
How can we get a refund for Thursday’s tickets? For now, the organizers state the following in their press release: “On Monday, details will be provided regarding the refund process for Thursday’s tickets, the full amount of which will be refunded.” What we don’t know yet is whether this applies only to holders of single tickets for Thursday or if holders of full festival passes will also be eligible for the refund, in which case they should receive a pro-rated refund for that day.
What is clear is that the festival is still on: the weather forecast for today is more favorable (only a cloudy day is expected). In the words of Primavera Sound: “The festival will open its doors this afternoon at 3:45 PM as usual to kick off the second day of the festival, which will feature performances by The Cure, Addison Rae, PinkPantheress, Ethel Cain, Skrillex, Amaarae, Ralphie Choo, and Slowdive, among many others.”
