Another day of strikes is planned for Wednesday on Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC). Protests by the Spanish Union of Train Drivers and Assistants (SEMAF) will drastically reduce the frequency of trains scheduled for February 25.
The Department of Business and Labor will implement minimum services that will guarantee 50% of trains on February 25 during peak hours, between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
From midnight to 3:00 a.m. and from 11:00 p.m. to midnight, minimum services will be reduced to 25%.
More strikes in early March

The union protests will not end with Wednesday’s action. Train drivers will repeat the strikes on March 2, 3, and 4.
During this period, the regional government will increase coverage to 66% of the usual service between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
During off-peak hours, trains will operate at 33% of their normal capacity. That is, from midnight to 3 a.m. and from 11 p.m. to midnight.
The operator will publish the status of the lines in real time through its official profile on the social network X (@FGC).
Passengers will also have immediate updates on the website and mobile app.
