After almost fifteen years without touring, Los Delinqüentes are back on stage with a tour that celebrates the 25th anniversary of El sentimiento garrapatero que nos traen las flores, the album that defined their identity. Barcelona will be the first stop of this historic tour with a concert at the Palau Sant Jordi on April 10th and, be careful, tickets for other cities have already flown, so get your tickets here before they fly away.
The album that forever changed his career -and, in part, the national music of the late 90’s- will be played in its entirety on stage. Along with it, several of the anthems that are part of the collective memory will appear: La primavera trompetera, A la luz del Lorenzo, El aire de la calle or Nubes de algodón. A repertoire that mixes nostalgia, celebration and the self-confidence that marked his first stage.
The collective memory of a group that marked an era.
At some point, in a car in summer or in any square, a chorus of Los Delinqüentes was heard and everyone sang it by heart. More than one thought of Jerez without having been there; more than one discovered that rumba could sound like blues; and almost everyone listened to the voice of Migue Benítez without imagining that he would become one of the most beloved figures of recent popular music. Fifteen years after their last tour, the group is back to celebrate that debut that blended wit, wit and street poetry.
The idea of a comeback had been floating around for months in the form of statements, recovered demos and winks from El Canijo de Jerez in different media. The official announcement confirmed what was already the talk among fans: a tour with guitars, the band reunited and a repertoire that goes back to the beginnings.
Migue’s presence will also play a central role: his image and voice will be projected on stage, joining the band as a bridge between that and this return. A concert that works as a tribute and celebration.
