What is “The Tarot Lounge”?
It is neither a tarot class nor a ceremony with an instruction manual. It’s a 120-minute experience where mystery is served over ice and a slice of destiny. Four tarot readers will guide personal readings and invite you to a collective spread as you explore the space amid candles, velvet and secrets floating in the air. The three cocktails you will taste are not just simple drinks: each will embody the spirit of a tarot card. The Wheel of Fortune? Maybe. The Moon? Maybe. There’s only one way to find out.
The tarot and its cards
Whether you believe in these things or not, the truth is that there is something hypnotic about watching cards being shuffled, cut, turned over one by one and suddenly seeming to say something. Tarot began as a game, the tarocchi, but over time it became something more. What if symbols, what if intuition, what if your ex is still thinking about you… and when you want to realize, you’re already inside.
The deck has 78 cards, although it is not necessary to know them all by heart (unless you are a tarot reader). Cups, Clubs, Swords and Golds speak of everyday things, of those aspirations, doubts, jobs and relationships: the four horsemen of your daily life. The Lovers, Death, the Fool or the Rook come to pose dilemmas. Each reading mixes them together, putting together a story that, for some reason, always seems to talk about you.
