On the occasion of Tots Sants, Cementiris de Barcelona extends its opening hours and activities to welcome all those who wish to pay tribute to their loved ones. From October 25 to November 2, the cemeteries and offices will be open from 8 am to 6 pm, with recommendations to plan the visit in advance and take advantage of tools such as maps or the locator of the deceased available on the official website.
More transport and flowers for the visit
Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) reinforces these days the bus lines 21, 102, 104 and 107, in addition to enabling special services to the cemeteries of Montjuïc and Collserola, and even a shuttle bus between Plaza Espanya and Montjuïc on November 1. In the cemeteries of Sant Andreu, Poblenou and Les Corts there will also be points of sale of natural flowers with extended opening hours throughout the week.
The special programming of Tots Sants includes activities that go beyond the commemoration. For example, in the Montjuïc Cemetery, a new exhibition space will be inaugurated in the Hearses Collection, with sculptures, tombstones and heritage elements signed by authors such as Puig i Cadafalch and Venanci Vallmitjana.
In addition, on November 1 there will be a concert by Cor Clavé at the Poblenou Cemetery and commemorative masses in five cemeteries in the city. That same day, MEXCAT will organize a Mexican altar in the Collection of Hearses of the Montjuïc Cemetery, in honor of Concepció Badia Millàs, thus uniting the funeral traditions of Mexico and Catalonia in the same gesture of memory and beauty.
