All the tunnels of terror in the neighborhoods of Barcelona for Castanyada and Halloween 2025: where and when to find them

Among witches, souls in pain and panellets, Barcelona is once again dressed in mystery. From October 22 to November 2, the whole city becomes a great stage of magic, fire and fear.

Each neighborhood celebrates the Castanyada and Halloween in its own way: some claim the Catalan tradition with chestnuts and correfocs, others surrender to the darker side with tunnels of terror, role-playing games and nights of souls.

This 2025 , the Castanyada and Halloween merge in a program more complete than ever: more than a hundred free activities for all ages spread over the ten districts of the city. Here are the spookiest plans to live this haunted week in Barcelona.

Ciutat Vella: sea spirits and hellish correfocs

The historic center of Barcelona will be the epicenter of witches and lost souls. On October 24, the Museu Marítim will host the impressive Nit de les Ànimes 2025: Bruixes, meduses i sirenes ( 8 p.m.), a visual spectacle in which sea creatures emerge to celebrate the connection between water and the afterlife.

Tradition will live on with the Castanyades del Gòtic and Casc Antic, but the most explosive moment will come on October 31, when the flames of the correfoc “Fot-li castanya” (9 p.m.) will light up the streets of Casc Antic.

Sants-Montjuïc: twenty years of witches and an army of ghosts

Sants celebrates its 20th Nit de Bruixes on October 25 (from 5 to 9 pm, placeta de Ramon Torres Casanova), with covens, music and spells. Throughout the week there will be magical cooking workshops, popular castanyades and activities for young and old, but the most intense nights come on October 31 with the Castanyada i sopar al carrer de Valladolid (from 10 pm to 2 am) and Halloween dels Jardins de Ca l’Alena (November 1, from 7 pm to midnight).

Sarrià-Sant Gervasi: from the bunker to the tunnel of terror

The fear of the upper districts. On October 25, the Centre Cívic Sarrià will host the role-playing day Terror al búnker ( 10 am), an immersive experience to live a scary movie in first person. And on October 31, the Nit d’Ànimes: Túnel del Terror! at the Espai Jove Casa Sagnier (from 5.30 to 8.30 p.m.) promises to be one of the most intense tours in the city.

That same day, the Castaween of Vil-la Florida ( 17.30 h) will offer a more familiar version with costumes, panellets and games.

Gràcia: tunnels, ghosts and frightful scares

In Gràcia, the scares start earlier than anywhere else. On October 29, the Centre Cívic La Sedeta opens its Túnel del Terror ( 5 p.m.), followed by the Ball de Castanyada on the 30th.

But the big day is October 31, with the Nit d’Ànimes del Coll ( 6 pm, Espai Jove del Coll) and the Toca-toca fastigós, a sensory experience that will test your courage.

Nou Barris: the capital of fear

If there is a district that takes Halloween seriously, it is Nou Barris. On October 24 and 25, Plaça de Sóller will host two versions of the Nit d’Ànimes de Porta: one for children (October 24, 5.15-8.30pm) and one for adults with Túnel del Terror ( October 25, 6-8.30pm).

And on October 31 the neighborhood will be completely transformed with the Castanyada i Nit d’Ànimes a Can Peguera, the Túnel del Terror “Agència de viatges a l’altre món” in Torre Baró and the Castaween ’25 (Ateneu La Bòbila, 18-22 h).

Sant Andreu: three terror tunnels and a Hogwarts in Barcelona.

The district of Sant Andreu turns directly into a city of fear. October 31 will be its big night: three simultaneous terror tunnels, in the Bon Pastor Library, the Centre Cívic del Bon Pastor and the Centre Cívic Trinitat Vella (19-00 h), and the activity “The magic of Hogwarts on Halloween” (Casal de Barri Congrés-Indians, 18 h).

All wrapped by the aroma of freshly made panellets and popular castanyes the day before.

Sant Martí: from Poblenou to the underworld

From October 31 to November 2, the Institut Barri Besòs will host the 16th Death Experience: Passatge del Terror INSANIUM (from 7 to 10.45 pm), an immersive experience with actors, special effects and unexpected endings.

On October 31, Poblenou will live its own Vespre de Tots Sants (5 pm, plaça de Rosa Peraulet) and there will be Trick or Treat in the stores of the commercial axis.
