Barcelona will once again be dyed green, white and red. On September 13 and 14, the Poble Espanyol will host the 15th edition of the Barcelona Vive México Festival, considered the largest celebration of Mexican culture in Europe, with an expected attendance of 23,000 people.
Organized by the Mexican-Catalan Cultural Association (MEXCAT), the festival has become an unmissable event for the Mexican community in Barcelona and for any lover of its gastronomy, music and traditions.
Tacos, antojitos and a culinary journey to Mexico.

The heart of the festival will be, of course, in the food. For two days, some twenty restaurants will prepare food for more than 23,000 attendees. From the urban and casual cuisine of Anormal or La Parka, to the homemade flavors of La Adelita and La Antigua de México, the proposal will bring together tradition and modernity in the same space.
Projects such as Kiltro and Piñata Cantina will also be present, along with the talent of chefs such as Mario Adame. For those looking for snacks with a homemade soul, there will be specialties from La Sazón de Isabel, El Tío Papelón or Taco Loco, while the sweet touch will be provided by Casa Dulce and its typical desserts.
Wrestling and mariachis

Mexican wrestling will be one of the main attractions of the program. Mexican and international wrestlers will fill the stage with masks, acrobatics and a lot of adrenaline in a stellar show that promises to be one of the most vibrant moments of the festival.
The festival will also feature mariachis, sones jarochos, folkloric dances and contemporary rhythms, creating a festive soundtrack that will accompany every corner of Poble Espanyol. In addition, a craft market will bring together creators who will exhibit textiles, jewelry, ceramics and unique pieces of Mexican tradition.
As every year, the event will culminate with the Grito de Independencia ceremony, one of the most emotional moments for the Mexican community, which will fill the venue with voices and flags to celebrate their identity.
