Easter is the definition of a joyful spring: vacations, mild weather and flowery fields. More after the rainy March of this year, which has dyed green Catalonia but that has accustomed us to look at the sky with distrust again.
And although there will be rain in some parts of Catalonia during Easter Week the weather will be somewhat calmer than in March and, depending on where you go, you will be able to enjoy your getaway with some calm. We tell you everything you need to know to plan it with peace of mind.
However, think that if the weather is not good, you are still in time to stay in Barcelona and enjoy some of the plans that we leave you at the end of the article to live Easter in the city.
What will the weather be like at Easter in Barcelona and Catalonia?

From Tuesday the weather, which had started kindly the week, will begin to twist to settle in the instability that will prevail throughout Easter. The morning will be calm but from the afternoon there will be a risk of moderate showers throughout the territory, although in Barcelona these possibilities will be lower.
On Wednesday there will be cloudy skies in the Pyrenees, the risk of precipitation will remain (although with less intensity). At the end of the day the cloudiness will begin to decrease, especially in the south, while the clouds will remain in the Pyrenees. There will be, in general, light precipitation and a cold atmosphere.
On Thursday the weather will give a truce, and instability will give way to clearer skies, rising temperatures and a more pleasant atmosphere with a lower probability of rain.
An unstable weekend with localized showers.

The models are still unclear, but some of them seem to agree in indicating that from Friday the weather will become more complicated again.
A new squall will arrive on Good Friday, bringing increased cloudiness and showers that could reach Barcelona and Catalonia starting in the afternoon or evening. However, temperatures will remain mild.
On Holy Saturday, intermittent showers will be more widespread throughout the territory, especially the first half of the day, with possible improvements in the afternoon and slightly cooler temperatures and the possibility of storms.
Sunday will be the day with the most variable weather, with alternating clouds and clearings but a tendency to stabilization, as if the unstable weather was leaving with the end of Holy Week.
Fianally, on Monday the sun will rise in Catalonia, with pleasant temperatures and spring-like atmosphere. Temperatures will rise again and prepare for skies that are likely to be clearer for the rest of the week.
