The Fiestas de Gràcia are all joy and brotherhood until the decisive moment: the awarding of the prize for the best decorated street of the year. This year it could not be otherwise, and in a delivery that has been held during the week (as it began to do last year to avoid overcrowding), members of the festival committees have gathered in the Plaça de la Vila de Gràcia to meet the winner.
And this year, the clear winner has been the carrer del Progrés, which has taken the first prize with his proposal “Progrefoc”. Second place went to carrer de Mozart with “La Jordina” (412 points) and third place to carrer de Jesús, with “Cooltura popular” (409 points).
An edition marked by the investment of Verdi Street
The 2025 edition has been marked by an episode that shocked the neighbors: the gate of the carrer de Verdi del Mig suffered a fire in the early hours of Sunday, August 17. Although the firefighters have not been able to determine the causes, the Mossos continue investigating, and the Verdi del Mig committee maintains that the fire was arson.
For this reason, the Verdi commission has received a special mention from the jury for its resistance and overcoming after the incident, and the residents of Gràcia have been recognized for their solidarity response, which is also a response to the overcrowding and touristification that the festivities are experiencing.

- Best lighting: Sant Antoni street
- Best artistic detail: carrer de Mozart
- Reuse and recycling: carrer de la Perla
- Innovation and technology: plaça de la Vila
In addition, the jury gave special mentions to historical memory, resilience, gender perspective and social vindication against gentrification.
