Fall in Barcelona brings with it that crisp, golden light that, as soon as evening falls, draws us indoors. And few urban refuges are as welcoming as the cozy darkness of a movie theater, the unmistakable aroma of freshly popped popcorn, and the magic of silencing our cell phones to immerse ourselves in other lives through the big screen.
This ritual, so dear to us, is once again the undisputed star of the cultural calendar with the long-awaited return of the Film Festival to Catalonia. From October 19 to 22, audiences will be able to enjoy the latest releases for just 3.50 euros per ticket— a price designed to make cinema accessible to all budgets—with more than 300 theaters across the country participating.
How to get tickets
Getting a pass for these four days of film-loving celebration is very easy. Tickets, priced at 3.50 euros, can be purchased directly at the box office of participating venues, the traditional way, or online through each theater’s official website.
The event comes at the perfect time to enjoy a month packed with new releases. Audiences can take advantage of these days to see highly anticipated feature films like *La Bola Negra* or Tom Cruise’s latest movie on the big screen. In addition, this month’s lineup is rounded out by titles such as *The Invitation*, which premieres on October 16, and a slew of films set to be released at the end of the month, on October 30, including *Karateca*, *Esta soledad*, and *Hope*.
