The Generalitat de Catalunya has announced a new grant of 500 euros per month for people under 30 who are preparing for competitive exams for administrative positions within the Generalitat itself. This measure aims to help young people whose financial situation does not allow them to devote themselves exclusively to their studies, pay for preparatory courses, or purchase books and materials. The application period runs through October 14, and you can complete the registration process through this website.
Over the next few years, a significant number of Catalan public administration employees will retire (nearly 12% of civil servants will turn 65 before 2030), making it necessary to rejuvenate the workforce. In light of this situation, the Catalan government has increased the number of public sector job openings and launched new internship programs to train young professionals in specialized fields.
The scholarship will be paid monthly until the recipient has completed the final exam of the selection process, for a maximum period of 12 months, with December 31, 2027, as the deadline. To ensure that recipients are actually and effectively studying, they will be actively monitored through quarterly assessments.
