If you already have your head set on the vacations and getaways of 2026, we have news that will make you rethink that car trip: Renfe has fully joined the Black Friday party with a campaign of authentic “Super Prices” that turns the high-speed train into an option almost given away for free. The company has put on sale thousands of tickets with prices starting from a derisory 7 euros on Avlo trains and 19 euros on fast AVE trains.
The moment of truth is now. The promotional tickets, which will be identified as ‘Superprecio’ while stocks last, can only be purchased from today, November 21, until Sunday, November 30. The travel period is extensive: the promotion allows you to board the train on any of its Long Distance services (AVE, Avlo, Alvia, Euromed, Intercity and AVE International) from January 8, 2026. In other words, you have a huge margin to plan those long weekends and long weekends that you have already marked on your calendar.
Crossing the country for 9 €.
For those of us who live in Barcelona, this campaign opens the door to highly sought-after national destinations at a fraction of the usual price. Key routes such as Barcelona-Madrid, Barcelona-Valencia or routes to the South, such as Seville or Malaga, become accessible for quick weekend getaways.
But be careful, because the high speed from Sants is not only limited to the Spanish territory. These prices also apply to AVE International, which makes this promotion the perfect excuse to cross the border and discover European gems. In fact, the high-speed market is busier than ever at this time of year.
Beyond the outrageous price, it is important to know that Renfe offers flexibility in this promotion. Although the cheapest tickets are the ‘Basic’ option, which guarantees the lowest price while maintaining quality, travelers have the option to upgrade to the ‘Choose’ fare for only three additional euros. The latter option provides greater flexibility, allowing for changes and cancellations which always come in handy when planning so far in advance.
