The century-old Barcelona bar El Roure has gone viral in recent weeks for adapting its sandwich menu in a rather particular way. The traditional entrepans of this bar are now joined by lunches with names like “El Gavi”, “El Lamine Yamal” or “El Szczęsny”.
This is the new menu of sandwiches focused on FC Barcelona men’s players. There are also Cubarsí, Raphinha or Íñigo Martínez.
Each sandwich has some characteristic that identifies it with that player. For example, goalkeeper Szczęsny’s has cheese and smoked ham (because the Pole is a regular smoker). Gavi’s has brioche bread, chicken strips, green bell pepper and mustard. Raphinha’s, with Brazilian picanha as the main ingredient and feijoada, is one of the latest additions.
Each sandwich is served in limited edition, so it is possible that when you come, the menu will have changed the names of the players, although the classics are always kept. They are accompanied by potatoes and are priced at around 12.50 euros.
At El Roure you can also come and watch Barça’s matches live on a giant screen.
With more than 136 years of history, El Roure is located at 7, Lluís Antúnez street.
