“El comer y el rascar, todo es empezar”, besides being one of the wisest phrases of the Spanish proverb, comes perfect to introduce the topic of the best free buffets in Barcelona. Here we bring you the most varied list you can find, where Bolivian, Catalan, Japanese and Italian food will arrive on a conveyor belt or will be spread out at the bar of one of the most luxurious hotels in Barcelona.
The free buffets are a temple to gluttony, gluttony and the pleasure of scrounging without feeling guilty. Before continuing with this article and before you are tempted to go to one of these buffets , it is recommended that you listen to the following .
The idea of arriving at a buffet without breakfast in order to be hungrier and take better advantage of the investment is a popular belief with no scientific basis: you eat faster, you fill up sooner and you hardly taste anything. Therefore, before going to one of the restaurants, we recommend that you at least have breakfast, so that you don’t debour like an animal and the experience is over before you want it to be. That said, here is the list:
Da Me for pizza lovers
Crunchy dough, burrata cheese and lots of basil. Everything we expect from a good stone oven pizza. Well, on Tuesday nights in Barcelona there is a place that can serve you this and other endless pizzas. It is Da Me Pizza, and as the name suggests, it is for demanding customers.
Located in the neighborhood of La Prosperitat and with home service (although in this option you will not be able to order as a buffet), you will want to forget about garlic bread and pasta to dedicate yourself body and soul to mediumpizzas of up to 10 types.

KATA spanish food buffet on a rotating conveyor belt
The purpose of the owners of this restaurant has always been the same from the beginning: to make gastronomy accessible to everyone. In addition to a catering service and one of the most important more economical daily menus (and original) also have an open buffet on a conveyor belt. Vegan and vegetarian options, fusion, international and national food are some of the proposals. In addition to the free buffet, daily specials are offered for between €4.5 and €5.5, and for the hungriest, there is a four-course menu with a drink for €14. They also have a picnic menu, where for 10€ you get everything you need for the park.

French fries and endless chicken wings: Dr. Beer & Mr. Fried
We got off to a bad start, because these are not buffets, but open bars. By this we mean these two places where you can only eat one dish, but you can do it endlessly. First of all, we’re talking about the Papanato fries, where every Tuesday and Wednesday for 9,9€ you can eat all the fries you want, being able to choose from a lot of different varieties. They are located at Av. Joan de BorbĂł, 65 and is open every day with non stop cooking, potatoes and barbecue (of which they also have a buffet on Thursdays and Fridays).

Secondly, we have Dr. Beer’s chicken wings & Mr. Beer’s chicken wings. Fried, which for 8,90€, you can eat unlimited meals accompanied by their homemade sauces and craft beers. The offer is available on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons at their location at 33 Riera Alta Street, and if you also want to try other items on their menu, don’t miss their Thursday burger.

Luxury brunch at the Intercontinental Hotel
The best thing about going on a trip (apart from the culture, the art, the people, blah blah blah…) is the breakfast buffet at the hotel. Can you imagine reliving that experience without having to stay at the hotel? The breakfast brunch at the Arrel restaurant in the Intercontinental Hotel brings you closer to that feeling.
The first floor of this hotel hosts every first and third Sunday of the month a haute cuisine hotel brunch, where, upon entering, a small gastro dream unfolds from which you don’t feel like waking up. On the table there is a menu to orient yourself in abundance and a cocktail that announces the open bar of cocktails, drinks and food ahead, where cold meats, cheeses, preserves and cold dishes foretell the beginning of the feast.

lunch for one €65.
Tou Kichi Rou, a la carte buffet in Les Corts
This Japanese restaurant takes care of every detail, such as the presentation of the dishes and the service at the table. There is no lack of people who elevate it to the category of “best Japanese buffet in Barcelona”. And it is normal or, at least, logical and plausible for those who have been there. Those who have been there will know that you order by rounds and that if you leave anything on your plate you are charged a penalty of three euros.
đź“ŤAvinguda Diagonal, 493.
12,5€ per person. Drinks are not included.
Guanabara by Rodizio, a carnivore’s paradise
The rodizio is an open buffet format typical of Brazil in which different grilled meats are prepared at and diners, paying a fixed price, can help themselves as much as they like. We understand that it was the first restaurant of its kind in Barcelona and not only has a wide variety of meat, but other dishes such as sushi, salads and various fried foods.

monday to Friday 25€ and weekends and holidays 30€.
LifeStyle Brunch, the unlimited brunch at the Hyatt Regency Hotel
Even if you’re not traveling, you can still indulge in the precious whim of brunch, but this time, unlimited. Spice up your Sundays with a welcome drink and a wide variety of hot, cold, sweet and savory dishes. All this in an exclusive building: the Hyatt Regency Barcelona Tower Hotel. A sophisticated space as well as a unique gastronomic offer, everything we can ask from a buffet!

Kaitenshushi He, where your dishes come to you on a conveyor belt
It is surprising how a relatively normal buffet can multiply its appeal when the dishes come to you transported by a mechanical conveyor belt. This Asian buffet offers sushi, noodles, meats in sauce and a long list of dishes, whose variety increases on weekends. During the week the price per person is 15 euros. On weekends, the price increases to 18.9 euros. A sufficiently accessible option to get your fill of Japanese food.
đź“Ť Carrer de Pau Claris, 72.
15€ per person from Monday to Friday and 18€ on weekends and holidays.
Buffet at the Majestic. The best buffet… breakfast buffet
Nandu Jubany, media star of Catalan cuisine, cooks breakfast for you. This is the proposal of the Majestic’s brunch, an idea that, already from the name, promises luxury. And while it’s not cheap, it’s not unaffordable either: for €37, the price for non-guests, one can change the usual hours of haute cuisine consumption to move it to the morning. The awards already warn: best hotel breakfast in 2018.
The start is as you would expect, with a glass of Möet Chandon. And from here to heaven. The diner can start strolling through the hot and cold stations, where there is an accumulation of signature salads, seafood, cold meats, cheeses from different origins, fancy pastries or a showcooking of hot and more elaborate dishes, such as the famous Nandu’s cannelloni. The experience, as I said, is a once-in-a-lifetime luxury to feel like a privileged foreigner in your own city.
đź“Ť Hotel Majestic. Pg. de GrĂ cia, 68.
37 per person.
Les Grands Buffets, a trip to Ratatouille
If you’ve been wondering why we were talking about Barcelona and its surroundings in the headline, here’s the answer: Les Grands Buffets is two and a half hours from Barcelona, but the excursion is well worth it.
It is the best buffet in the world. French haute cuisine in vein, lungs and stomach. They have spoken of it in terms of an orgy for the palate: a steak tartar to cry over, an incredible foie and a selection of 11 cheeses that you won’t be able to finish.
espace de Liberté, Rond Point de la Liberté, Narbonne.
💸52,90€. Children free of charge.
Hydrate Buffet at Muerde la Pasta
what can we say? If we were to put together all the star dishes of Italian cuisine, we would make bingo at Muerde la Pasta. With two locations in CornellĂ , this pasta and pizza buffet is one of the most popular not only in Catalonia, but in Spain as a whole. Because yes, it’s a franchise, but it has to be really bad for a pasta to not be worth going on a day where dehydration and lack of electrolytes after a night out will take over your body and soul.
đź“ŤAv. Baix Llobregat, Local 18-19-20.
💸All inclusive, 15€. Pizza buffet only 12€.
Sumo Glòries
We are not the biggest fans of mall food courts, nor, necessarily, of sushi buffets, where we often eat rice that has been cooked for three weeks. But in Sumo the thing is somewhat different, and if we overcome the initial reservations to go down to the basement of the Glòries shopping center we find a Japanese buffet that surprises.
The chain, which has several restaurants in Madrid, is making its debut in Barcelona with an a la carte buffet concept, where you order on the screen and choose from more than 100 dishes that are more carefully prepared than usual. Goodbye to the suhis pringados with a thousand sauces, here there are good simple nigiris (others more elevated with foie or roe) and tartares and stir-fries that elevate the usual average and make the excursion worthwhile.
📍 Food court of the Glòries Westfield shopping center, Avinguda Diagonal, 208, 08018 Barcelona
15,5 midday weekdays; 19,95 weekday evenings; 20,95 weekend evenings
Tayta, free buffet of Peruvian food
An endless supply of ceviche. We don’t need any other reason to go to Tayta, the first free Peruvian food buffet in Barcelona, but in case you need it, we tell you that a good part of the great dishes of the Andean country’s gastronomy are here in unlimited format.
Ceviche, of course, but also aji de gallina, anticuchos, arroz chaufa… Every Saturday and Sunday (during the week they have a regular menu), for 29.90 you can immerse yourself in Peruvian gastronomy, with desserts and unlimited drinks included in the package.
