Barcelona has a new beach with blue flag this 2024. The Zone of the baths of the Forum has received this 2024 for the first time this national distinction that values the quality of the water and the facilities of the beaches of the whole country.
This new in the province of Barcelona has been accompanied by two other mentions: Somorrostro and Pescadors beach in Pineda del Mar, which return to the list after failing to obtain the blue flag in 2023.
Catalonia has 95 award-winning beaches and 23 blue flag ports this year 2024, which internationally recognize their quality and services. The International Blue Flag Jury of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) awards the Blue Flag annually, together with Adeac, the Association for Environmental and Consumer Education.
