Castelldefels is getting ready to live its most intense days of the year before Christmas. From December 5 to 8, 2025, the coastal town, about 30 minutes south of Barcelona, will recover its old medieval name to celebrate the 12th edition of the Castrum Fidelis Medieval Fair.
This event is intertwined with the Festa Major d’Hivern for four days full of culture, product sales, shows and a great historical reenactment at the foot of the castle.
Although the big days will come with the December long weekend, the festive atmosphere will begin to be felt already this weekend, with traditional activities such as thetabalada, the correfoc and a ballada of sardanas.
Where Castrum Fidelis 2025 will take place

Castelldefels Castle and its gardens will host an authentic medieval encampment during the long weekend of the Constitution, from 10 am to 9 pm. There will be exhibitions of weapons, scenes of everyday life of the time, exhibition fights and archery.
One of the most anticipated exhibitions will be held in the Muntanyeta Park: the great Knights Tournament. There, jousting on horseback with weapons and specialists will be organized to recreate the competitions of antiquity.
Access to the fair and most of the activities is free of charge.
What will be in the medieval market of Castrum Fidelis 2025?

The old town, the church square and the streets adjacent to the castle will be transformed into a large medieval market with a hundred stalls of crafts, traditional products, decoration and typical gastronomy.
In addition, the fair will bet another year for the living culture with the presence of artisans who will perform demonstrations of ancient crafts (blacksmithing, glass, leather and wood) live.

All this will be enlivened by a constant parade of musicians, jugglers, itinerant actors, fire and circus shows.
The youngest will have spaces for medieval games, tests of skill and adapted workshops.
Coinciding with the Festa Major d’Hiver, the agenda includes events of popular Catalan culture with the celebration of the traditional castells plantada on December 8.
