Another summer, the L4 of the Barcelona metro will close a section to carry out improvement works on the line. If in 2024 it was the section between Selva de Mar and La Pau that suffered service interruptions in summer, this year it will be the one that connects the stops of Maragall and Trinitat Nova.
TMB will renew the tracks on a three-kilometer stretch to improve the safety of the line and reduce vibrations. These works, according to El PeriĂłdico, will leave L4 without service between June and August.
This is the period of least passenger traffic on this line, so it is expected that the works will have a minimal impact before the massive return to work in September.
The information was included in the technical specifications of the tender for the works management and health and safety coordination, as Tot Barcelona reported last December.
With a budget close to 20 million euros, these works will renew two tracks of the line, sleepers will be replaced and a new signaling system will be installed on L4.
