Barcelona adds a new record to its menu of excesses: the most expensive cocktail in Spain. It is served at the Shôko club, on the Barceloneta promenade, and costs exactly 1,000 euros.
The club, mostly frequented by tourists, thus adds a new “attraction” for visitors who want to boast of having had the most expensive drink in the country.
What’s in a 1,000-euro cocktail?
Its name is “Time in Your Lips”, and it promises to be an experience closer to performative luxury than a simple drink. The creation is the work of renowned bartender Yeray Monforte, who has designed the establishment’s entire cocktail menu.
The drink combines such select ingredients as Gran Patrón Bordeaux tequila, Louis Roederer Rosé Cristal 2022 champagne and 25-karat liquid gold. To top off the experience, the cocktail is served with fresh Normandy oysters and beluga caviar.
Shôko has wanted to crown itself with this new addition to its menu, aimed at those who leave home without looking at the price and in the mood for spectacle. The establishment, which combines restaurant and nightclub, is known for being, among others, the party place of celebrities and celebrities.
For mortals who do not want to invest a salary in a single drink, Monforte has also designed a more accessible menu, with cocktails inspired by cities around the world. Among them, the Porno Star Sprite, the Lychee Pisco Sour and the Cheesecake Cosmopolitan stand out, all for 16 euros. Creative proposals that confirm the international and exuberant twist of a city that, even in times of climatic and social uncertainty, continues to toast to luxury.
