Both Meteocat and AEMET, have activated alerts for snowfall and extreme cold in mountainous areas of Catalonia, where it is expected that on the north side of the Pyrenees snow can fall to 1,200-1,000 meters in some places. Snow could also touch areas of the Vall d’Aran.
