The Fiestas Mayores of Santa Coloma de Gramanet are no ordinary festivities. A few days ago, we told you about the music lineup featuring more than 50 concerts with artists like Bustamante, Chanel, and Los Manolos; today, we’re dedicating some space to another of the most distinctive aspects of these festivities: its cuisine.
This weekend, on Saturday, September 5, and Friday, September 6, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Corre-Tapa will take place. A tour through the city streets and the 51 participating establishments, each offering a tapa and a drink ( beer, wine, or water) for prices ranging from €3.50 to €4.50. A very appealing offer, especially if you live in Barcelona and just need to take Metro Line 1 to get there.
There’s a wide variety of options to suit every taste: from a classic slice of pizza or Iberian croquettes to more gourmet and elaborate dishes like “senyoret” fideuá with hazelnut aioli or torreznos from Soria with kimchi. It’s worth taking five minutes to explore all the possibilities, since there aren’t just local dishes—restaurants serving international cuisine, such as Mexican or Japanese, are also participating.
In addition, the tour will be enlivened by the brass band Los Desplumaos, who will be making their way through the venues on their own route so that anyone who wants to enjoy the experience with music can join in. The band’s route will end at Plaza de la Vila, where, starting at 4:00 p.m., La Colomenca —a closing party accompanied by music from DJ Marshal— will take place.
In addition, the Santa Coloma de Gramanet City Council is raffling off a dinner for two and two sets of Mahou products to everyone who completes the Corre-Tapa passport. To complete it, you must visit six establishments in the three areas into which the city is divided, try their tapas, and have your passport stamped. Once completed, simply turn it in at City Hall.
