Christmas is here with everything and along with the Christmas lights in the streets and Christmas markets that appear on every corner, ice rinks are multiplying around the city to bring joy to those who want to continue skating even if the ice is already difficult to find.
Therefore, a new synthetic ice rink has arrived in the city. It is located and promoted by El Corte Inglés de Diagonal and will be installed on the large terrace of its headquarters in Reina María Cristina, overlooking the Gran Vía de Carles III.
The inauguration is scheduled for December 2, and will remain open until January 12, coinciding with the end of the Christmas holidays. This same terrace hosted the Cortylandia show in previous seasons and is usually used as a road education circuit.
Like all ice rinks nowadays, it will be made of synthetic ice, manufactured with polyethylene sheets that offer a very similar experience to conventional ice skating, but with a more sustainable format, since it requires neither water nor electricity to maintain low temperatures.
Activities and schedules
The activity will be open to all types of public, but is especially aimed at the youngest, who will have monitors and penguin-shaped figures to help them learn to skate.
The general price will be 6 euros per 15 minutes, including the rental of the necessary material.
