A brief but intense period of rain is approaching Barcelona this week. After a few clear days in December, Protecció Civil has activated the Inuncat plan due to the forecast of heavy rains in Barcelona and Girona from Tuesday.
According to the security agency, heavy rain (about 20 l/m2 in 30 minutes) is expected tomorrow, Tuesday, especially in the regions of La Selva, Vallés Oriental and Maresme.
The showers may reach their maximum intensity at night, and reach the regions of the Barcelona coast.
The forecast is that the rains will continue on Wednesday and that by the end of the week the skies will be clear and the weather will be sunny.
