Undoubtedly, the most international cornellanencs in history. Estopa, the Muñoz brothers, are more than the soundtrack of a generation, they are the emotional food of millions of Spaniards who have spent years growing up with their music and, although they have just celebrated 25 years of career, they seem to have spent a lifetime installed in our music charts.
Therefore, to celebrate this quarter century of history, Cornella de Llobregat vibrated this Sunday, November 24 in an emotional tribute to its most international neighbors where a statue has been uncovered to honor the 25-year career of the Catalan duo.
The tribute, organized by the City Council under the slogan “Cornellà sings Estopa”, also featured performances by local entities that covered some of the duo’s most popular songs.
A statue on the bench where they started to play
The eternal Estopa are now a bronze statue dedicated to David and José Muñoz, located on a bench in Plaça de Catalunya. This emblematic place in Cornellà is where the brothers took their first steps, both as teenage dreamers and as future icons of rumba-rock.

In an emotionally charged moment, the duo took the stage and sang four of their most iconic songs, giving the audience an unforgettable memory.
