Walking through the Born is sometimes a stroll among tourists, but sometimes it can also be a reunion with a medieval neighborhood that is, for many, one of the most beautiful in the city.
This Saturday, October 4, the heart of Ciutat Vella is transformed with Shop al Born, an autumn festival with a craft market, seasonal cuisine and activities for all tastes. The event will take place between Boira and Portal Nou streets, from 11:00 to 21:00.
There you will find jewelry, ceramics, textiles and unique handmade pieces, as well as amulets, candles and herbs designed to connect with the energy of the season. The atmosphere is completed with esoteric proposals such as tarot, palmistry and astrological charts in the Born.
Gastronomy and popular tarot
The theme of the festival is magic and spirituality, so several of the stores will offer tarot cards, amulets and jewelry that transport us to medieval spirituality.
The day will have its own flavor thanks to the Fideuá Popular de Tardor, which will be served from 11:00 to 14:00 h in the tent of the Associació de la Plaça Allada Vermell (ticket: 5 € with water included).
In addition, comes the first edition of Croque Vella, a tapas tour in which the croquette will be the main protagonist. Restaurants such as Santa Agustina, La Bona Sort, Forn Fatayer, Bar Mami Born and Can Ramos will offer their creations with seasonal produce at a single price of 3 €.
In addition, the day will be full of creative activities: From crochet workshop (Plaça Allada Vermell, from 11:00 to 14:00 h), to a botanical postcard workshop (Plaça Sant Agustí, from 12:00 to 13:00 h) and another artistic workshop of sheets with different materials (Plaça Sant Agustí, from 18:00 to 19:00 h).
And to accompany the atmosphere, the music will not miss: at 17:00 h, DJ Maxi27 will put rhythm from Portal Nou.
So now you know, if you want to enjoy the Born again as the medieval city it once was, come this weekend to the center of Barcelona to enjoy the mystery of its enchanted streets.
