Barcelona is preparing to transform its usual urban landscape into a brilliant, ephemeral open-air museum. This coming weekend, from February 6 to 8, 2026, the Sant Martí district and the Poblenou neighborhood will once again be the epicenter of digital creativity with the arrival of the 15th edition of the Llum BCN festival.
Under the artistic concept of “Night Landscapes, “ the city invites you to rediscover public spaces beyond their daytime functionality, focusing on visual experimentation in squares, streets, and facades.
In total, citizens will be able to enjoy 33 installations that combine the talent of 12 renowned international artists with the freshness of the proposals of 18 design and architecture schools in the Catalan capital.
Special program for being World Capital of Architecture 2026

This edition is exceptional. To commemorate Barcelona’s status as World Capital of Architecture 2026, the festival is breaking out of its usual boundaries in Sant Martí.
The organizers have scheduled ten additional installationsthat combine lighting and dance, spread across the city’s ten districts.
The festival will highlight emblematic and unique buildings in each neighborhood, decentralizing culture and offering a new perspective on Barcelona’s architectural heritage through light.

To facilitate the flow of visitors and avoid crowds, the festival has designed three chromatic itineraries that connect with public transport (especially the TRAM and Metro):
- Blue Route: Disseny Hub area.
- Orange Route: Glòries area and surroundings.
- Green Route: Poblenou Center Park area.
The organizers have set up strategic information points in Josep Antoni Coderch Square and in front of the MediaTIC building.
In addition, for those planning to spend the entire afternoon and evening, there will be food and rest areas (with services and restrooms) at the Disseny Hub, MediaTIC, and inside the Centre del Poblenou park.
The official kick-off will be this Friday, February 6, at 6:00 p.m. in the foyer of the Disseny Hub Barcelona (access via Calle Àvila), with Mayor Jaume Collboni and Artistic Director Maria Güell in attendance.
For the general public, the lighting times for the installations are:
- Friday, February 6, and Saturday, February 7: 7:00 p.m. to midnight.
- Sunday, February 8: 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
All the installations available can be viewed on the festival website.
